Entrance
This is a special occasion in which art works are launched by students. It is an approach to a free entrance to the field of visual arts through new art mediums. We expect to read the contemporary society through art works, and subsequently, researched art works are placed in the art galleries and shared with people through our attempts.

While appreciating the efforts taken by teran indika and harshana kumarasiri to conduit an exhibition of visual arts, would also like to keep a note about their art works presented today, on the other hand a credit should also be given to them for allowing to see their creative art works to those who really appreciate them for they have given up the idea of I met harshan when he come to study composi tion (sculpture) and I was attracted to his sculptural creation, his theme won always the concept of "sepa ninda" and how to make it visual in general, every human being steep. A sleep brings physical and mental relaxation and it has been suggested psychologically and in medical science. is this what he says? eventuoug, there are many technical productions what implied by "sepa ninda" is when are we going to feel so called mental satisfaction. Here I would like to remind you a popular attention getter in a commercial" nindei sepa nindel athara venesa" (what is the difference between a sleep and a Comfort sleep in contemporary society both parties who experi- ence luxury life and also a life below poverty line seriously experience mental stress. He identifies people who try to satisfy the personal lives at maximum level in Colombo. He captures luxury vehicle, restau- rants, super markets, sideway small shop, lottery vendors, shanties for his art work. The difficult life he spent in the capital city must have influenced his art work. the mind fall of these worries never experience. mental satisfaction. you may have heard that some people say "give me medicine that makes me uncon- scious for weeks". Even though, those works are of funny sense, I feel that most of the sri lankans live because they cant die harshana brings up his works in a tune of fantasy. He actually does not talk about natural sleep in his art work, but he says that human beings runs behind a mirage and he also "sattai aeta nethi midi" (we swear, the grapes are seedless) In this age catching statement the word sattai is used for assurance. The words suchas deiyampa (I Swear), 'Ammapalla (I swear by my mother) and 'Aesdeka palla (I swear by my eyes) denotes emphasis. However they are words of false. The problem arises here is what on earth teran does in this exhibition. One must have a knowledge of Art history up to present to feel those art works. The fact merriment is solely based on the genius of creator and the wisdom of spectator when feeling it. some artist enslave them selves in various art forms and rejects all other art forms. they have their personal stoles and sometimes felt that they are methods of earning money. We have a question intron of why we took such a lot of time to see new things or to walk in new avenues? Today we are nibbled in selling out the things that are imported. The something happens on the street and also in the supermarkets, people use various methods of advertising for this. Even though the public see them here is no use. He is able to see the reality of what is happening 'lunu demu apple (salted apples) and 'sattai aeta nethi midi' (we swear' the grapes are seedless) and other writings generate various kinds of thoughts. He sat ironically all kinds of advertisements, so we have to think about the 'Aeta nethi midi and "Gedara yana gaman" (on your way home) once again. Upali Ananda 2016

How tired is it when you travel in Colombo city? I wonder how I feel when I see advertisements about luxurious food items and poor vendors who, having a small board, are selling tangerine either side of the streets. It is really a problem for me. I wonder whether shining lights, colorful glass, variety of styles and sceneries around us are meant for our needs and satisfaction. But it is obvious that they make our eyes tired. Also these practices and real situations in the mega cities have become environment hazards not only on air, water, noise, and soil pollution but also on visual pollution. These advertisements are designed effectively and they motivate us without leaving any doubts. They make sure that they provide our needs and wants though they are meant to run for personal profits.

Our society, having full of capitalist attitudes and ideas, is materialistic and based on consumerism. It has been a reason to widen the gap among individuals in today's society. It is common that there are some inappropriate situations in which people attempt to follow their materialistic goals. It seems that people live in a fantasy world having achieved some of their materialistic wants. In this highly materialistic society, it seems that the people are fighting in the process of achieving high consumerism, and therefore, it has been highly problematic whether it is possible to see a knowledge based human society in the future.
